What are the pre-requisites to start a career in Data Science?

Talking about pre-requisites and a great career you need some skills too. You can master the Data Science skills and then run data on your fingers(or in your brain or computer).

Data Science is a vast field that is based on multiple fields. So, to master Data Science and become an expert, one must know the underlying fields.

You want to have the following skillset:

• Probability & Statistics experience - You should be comfortable with the basics, but also have a solid understanding of statistical inference.
• Coding knowledge - Data Science involves a lot of computational tools, so you should be very comfortable with at least one language. I recommend Python and R.
• Linear Algebra knowledge - Vectors, matrices, and all the operations that accompany them are particularly important for Machine Learning.
• Calculus background - A lot of the stats and linear algebra require a calculus background. If you're involved in deep learning, you should also be comfortable with the chain rule and other calculus techniques.
