What is Hadoop?

Hadoop is a combined set of open-source utilities that allows us to store a large amount of data and to perform the computations. Its framework is based on Java programming which is similar to C and shell scripts. In other words, we can say that it is a platform that is used to store, transform, manage, and decode the data for various big data applications running under clustered systems. The main components of Hadoop are HDFS, Map Reduce, and YARN.
