As you must have heard “Anything is possible”
I have been in this dilemma, I did rigorous coding in hackerearth/codechef, and yet I failed to get an interview invite and yes couldn't make it into the hardcore coding field. But, I opted for something more lucrative at a later stage of my career, and frankly, I am quite content with it.
Probability is low, I would suggest being a product, rather chase a product firm. Algos and coding don't work at this stage of career. You will have to build some projects on your own, A full-stack product, to get the right eyes on you. Else, your resume wouldn't pass the recruiters, as it was in my case.
So don't lose hope. In the end, again, anything is possible.
