The SQL Server is a server developed by Microsoft. It is a relational database management system (RDBMS) that is primarily used to store and retrieve data when requested by various other applications. It is built on SQL (Standard Query Language) to interact with relational databases. The SQL server is connected to Microsoft’s version of SQL called Transact-SQL (T-SQL). It helps in adding a few programming constructs.
