Who started tableau ?

Tableau was founded by Pat Hanrahan, Christian Chabot, and Chris Stolte in 2003.  and moved to the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle, Washington, the following year. Since then, the company has expanded its Fremont headquarters and announced plans for an auxiliary campus in the suburbs of Kirkland, Washington, in 2016.
A new headquarters building opened near the Gas Works Park in Wallingford in March 2017, followed by a new building opened in Fremont in 2018.
In August 2016, Tableau announced the appointment of Adam Selipsky as President and CEO, effective 16 September 2016, to replace co-founder Christian Chabot as CEO.

In June 2018, Tableau purchased Empirical Systems, an artificial intelligence startup headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with plans to incorporate the technology of the company into the Tableau platform. Tableau also announced plans to create an office in Cambridge as a result of the agreement. On June 10, 2019, Tableau was purchased by Salesforce in an entire stock exchange worth more than $15 billion.
