Data Source:

Table data source files have an extension of the .tds name. Data source files are shortcuts to easily link to data sources that you also use. Data source files do not contain the actual data, but rather the details required to link to the data source as well as the improvements you have made to the Data panel, such as default properties, measured fields, classes, and so on.
