Can selenium interact with hidden elements?

Could someone tell me whether Selenium could interact with hidden elements?

Selenium has been written in a way that prevents it from interacting with hidden objects. But since this is the case you cannot click a hidden element but you could definitely execute JavaScript to click on the element invisible to you.
