Could someone tell me why there is a use of third-party app like AutoIt in Selenium?

AutoIt like Selenium facilitates automation, but it focuses on desktop automation rather than web automation. AutoIt is a freeware scripting language designed for automating Windows Graphical User Interface (GUI) and also for general scripting purposes. This tool also automates mouse movement and keystrokes.
