Could someone tell me whether Big Data processing require Relational Databases?

No, Big data consist of a large quantity of data that may be structured, unstructured, or semi-structured. To process these different sets of data, present in large amount will require different computing methods other than relational databases which are best for comparatively less data which may either be structured or semi-structured.
