What is salesforce development language?

Could someone tell me what are different Salesforce development languages?

Salesforce development language comprises of 4 different languages that are used for various aspects within Salesforce.  

• Apex-for backend 

• Visualforce-for frontend 

• SOQL-Salesforce Object Query Language 

• SOSL-Salesforce Object Search Language. 

Apex is similar to Java, Visualforce is similar to HTML, SOQL is similar to SQL, and SOSL is a search language that searches for text, phone numbers, emails, etc.
