Could someone tell me whether DevOps is a good career path?

DevOps is a certainty, a good career path, just like any other IT domain. The real question you should ask is whether you like this career option or not? 

• DevOps is the combination of two terms Development and Operations. These were the two teams who maintained the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), one team developed the software, and the other team tested it and maintained its operation ability, and retrieved customer feedbacks to be sent back to the developer team for problem rectification.
• DevOps combined these two separate phases into one unified platform. This concept was introduced back in 2008, but recently it has gained huge momentum and every other company has started implementing it to boost their productivity. With the increasing integration of both Cloud and DevOps, having skills in DevOps is the right choice that you could make if you are wishing to enter this domain. 
• With World Economic Forum reports stating that IoT devices are sure to surge past 20 billion devices and more in the coming years. This career option does give you nice pay, that is above 6 Lakhs and above according to Glassdoor.com in India for a DevOps Engineer.
