Should one aim to become a data analyst before becoming a data scientist?

Can one directly become a data scientist? Or will it be beneficial to transition to a data scientist from being a data analyst?

 Yes, it is possible to become a data scientist without any prior transition from a data analyst. Only you have to acquire all the needed skills that are required to become a data scientist.
