Hi,

I require a solution to my individual backup problem.

I understand the concept AWS is floating regarding automated backups and snapshots.

In my case I have a few instances running and a large amount of databases. These databases are static and small. I don't wish to restore an

entire snapshot to a different region and then doing a mysqldump of the single database I may need at that time then restoring it.

I was thinking of using Lambda but want to know if there are other methods of achieving this.

SQL Server has a nice detailed explaination on how to use an agent that can take the backups of individual databases, send to S3 and restore from S3.

Any insightful notes or tips will be helpful.

Regards,

Kaneen
