AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery (EDR) is a service that provides you with automated and flexible ways to protect your AWS resources in the event of a disaster. EDR automatically replicates your data across multiple Availability Zones (AZs) across the same region, or across multiple regions. You can also configure EDR to replicate your data to another region if your primary region experiences an outage.

When you enable EDR, AWS creates one or more copies of your data on servers in an AZ and then stores them in different geographic locations. If your primary AZ goes offline or experiences a natural disaster, EDR will automatically copy all or part of your S3 data to one or more other AZs that are geographically closer to you.

You can learn more about AWS by studying in Intellipaat's aws training course, which will provide you with all the in-depth knowledge required to become an AWS Architect.

You can even watch the success story of Rahul, an Intellipaat student who received a 40% pay increase at work.
