how to name an EC2 EBS volume in AWS console?

How can I name my Amazon EC2 EBS volumes using the AWS Console? By default the name field is empty, and I can see no option to edit this, unlike the actual EC2 instance.

The “name” isn't a tag. To edit it, click on the EBS volume and then go to “Tags” in the panel below. There will be tag “Name” there, so now edit it with your desired tag name and value.
