Python is a high level, open source, versatile programming language, named after a famous comedy show called Monty Python, as Guido van Rossum, the language designer was a great fan of the movie.

Python is an interpreted language. Interpreted languages allow you to develop software faster, speed of development is faster. Not to be confused with the speed of execution. Speed of development is almost as important as speed of execution.

The easy and English-like syntax of this programming language stands out among other high level languages. Why don't you go ahead and get started with Python.
