Mostly my work is related to creating the reports on yearly or monthly or weekly data, So these visualizations are like a bar chart with trend lines. Since the dates are in DD/MM/YYYY format, so we can change them in continuous form but it skews the spacing on the X-Axis. This problem we can easily handle with the excel but how to do in Tableau? Because Visualisations are easy in Tableau than Excel.

If you want to visualize the trend lines on the discrete data. Then follow the below steps :

Step 1 - Drag those fields in Tableau Desktop

Step 2 - Visualize the data in Bar Chart.

Step 3 - Right-click on the plot there you will see Trend line option just click on that.

So now you will get the desired result.
