When should you use a static IP address in Azure?

What is the use of Static IP address and how is it different from dynamic IP address?

We use a static IP address when we do not want to change the address connected to the device. A dynamic IP address is used when we want to change the address and assign other devices to access it. When we did not specify anything, the Azure Virtual machine will be assigned a dynamic IP address unless we change it to static.

Creating a static IP address in 5 steps:

Step 1: Open MS azure portal and enter login credentials

Step 2: In the menu, open Virtual machines and click add

Step 3: Fill in the parameters of virtual machines to create.

Step 4: Click on the networking tab from settings and click the network interface.

Step 5: Click on the IP address and create a new IP address

Step 6:  Select the static option in the assignment.
