Can anyone tell me why manufacturing needs AI/ML?

The manufacturing industry needs AI and ML for quality checks of products i.e. to check whether products are having any flaws which cannot be done by visual inspection. AI and ML can be used in the prediction of failure modules which cannot be observed by the naked eye. Sometimes, the product appears flawless but will not work as effectively. This happens since we decide the performance and flaws of machines differently because of bias.

Hence, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are needed in the manufacturing industry to predict whether machines need maintenance accurately instead of guessing that helps in decreasing the downtime.
