Azure SQL database isn’t expensive as Microsoft is offering these services at very reasonable prices when compared to AWS and GCP. I suppose you are new to this cloud domain, as the prices for these services are very reasonable and does contribute to the profits for the company in the long run which also saves time and effort gained by transitioning to cloud services.
