I have also given below the database settings that I have used :

DATABASES = {
    'default': {
        'ENGINE': 'django.db.backends.mysql', # Add 'postgresql_psycopg2', 'mysql', 'sqlite3' or 'oracle'.
        'NAME': 'ar_test_db', # Or path to database file if using
        # The following settings are not used with sqlite3:
        'USER': '',
        'PASSWORD': '',
        'HOST': '', # Empty for localhost through domain sockets or '127.0.0.1' for localhost through TCP.
        'PORT': '', # Set to empty string for default.
    }
}

It looks such as you do not have the python MySQL package installed, try:

pip install mysql-python

or if you aren't using a virtual environment (on *nix hosts), then try:

sudo pip install mysql-python

I hope I could be helpful.
