Upload folder with subfolders using S3 and the AWS console

Question

I want to upload a folder with subfolders to my S3 through the console but when try to do that, only the files are uploaded not the subfolders. Is there any way that I can upload a folder with subfolders?

If you are working with a console then simply go with the drag and drop option. The new AWS S3 web upload manager offers "drag n drop" for files and for folders, So login to your account and start uploading and then just drag from your desktop and drop to the S3 page.
