Hash in cybersecurity is a number value that is produced as an output when specific input is fed to a particular algorithm that converts these data and files into values. This whole process is called Hashing in cybersecurity.

Hashing is compared to encryption in cybersecurity, while encryption is a two-way function, whereas Hashing is a one-way function. In hashing, the main priority is to maintain data integrity that is to verify and validate that a particular file or message has not been tampered with, modified, or corrupted. As specific characters give way to a unique hash value, and if we change a character, it would produce a completely different hash value.
