What is the difference between Facial Detection and Facial Recognition?

Could someone tell me what is the difference between Facial Detection and Facial Recognition?

Facial Detection and Facial Recognition are two completely different technology and are often the terms that are used interchangeably. Facial Detection is a technology that deals with detecting a human face, in a digital image or video, whereas, Facial Recognition, as the name suggests, helps in recognizing the person, using his biometric signs of the face. While Face detection cannot recognize the person, Facial Recognition can and is the reason, they are being used as a form of password. While Face detection is being used in Autonomous cars to identify human faces.
