Which is the better career option in India UI/UX designer or software engineer?

Well according to me both are better career options in India. It actually depends on your interest basically software engineer is nothing but a frontend web developer who implements web designs through html, css, and javascript whereas UI/UX designer also develops web designs without programming. 

Software engineering is a logical path where one must have experience in the programming field whereas UI/UX designing is the creative path it requires a deep interest in the design field.  Both fields pay high salaries.  Whereas the job of a UX designer drives business heavily because they are the ones who define the user experience and there is a lot of creativity involved in it.
