Amazon offers two levels of AWS solutions architect exams such as Associate and Professional levels.

For clearing AWS solutions architect associate exam, you need to know the following concepts:

• Designing and deploying scalable and reliable applications on AWS
• Selecting the right AWS service according to requirements 
• Deploying on-premises applications to AWS cloud

For clearing AWS solutions architect professional exam, you need to know the following concepts:

• Experience designing and deploying scalable and highly available applications on AWS
• Capable to migrate complex multi-tier applications on AWS
