Artificial Intelligence can perform many activities such as solving puzzles or providing hidden analytics in an exponential waster way when compared to a human. But the main thing that an AI system of today cannot do, understands, process, and replicate emotions. Emotional and social intelligence come natively to humans as we have trained and learned concepts from instinct. Emotion AI is also called Affective Computing which has been around since 1995 that aims to provide machines with the ability to process human emotions. With today's computing power there have been emotion-based AI companies across the globe that use multimodal emotions to provide over 90% accuracy levels in detection and classification when working with emotions. Sentiment analysis in the AI field is a good example to characterize emotions based on text. Systems will get more complex as they begin to understand cultural references, sarcasm, and the nuances of human communication.
