I want to migrate my webapp from Amazon EC2 to ECS. I ECS I have to allocate memory and vCPU for the process.

Now, how to know that how much vCPU is needed for the process?

Go to your AWS management console and select CloudWatch. On the CloudWatch dashboard make sure that you have the region where your EC2 instance is hosted, is selected in the console. 

Now go ahead and click on metric and below the graph are the metric you can choose from. Now Select EC2 and then Per Instance Metric and the select CPUUtilization for the instance you want to see.

And this will give you a graph of average CPU utilization for the period of time you have selected for your instance.
