I have experience of around 2 years in working with Automation testing using Selenium Webdriver and Java. I have worked with different MNCs in my career. I have given/taken many interviews for Selenium Automation test engineer position. What most people lack is a hands-on experience of the tool. As you have experience of working with UFT, I believe that you it wouldn’t take much time to learn Selenium and to start working on it. But to aim for Selenium architect position, there are many things involved like the creation of frameworks, selecting the best approach to kickoff automation, knowledge and experience on integrating our scripts with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins and obviously strong experience on using Selenium webdriver tool.
