Symbol maps in tableau?

Maps that have a mark and is displayed over a fix latitude and longitude are Symbol maps. For creating a symbol map one should use 1 geo dimension, 0 or more dimensions and 0 or 2 measures, so this is the prerequisite for symbol map. For example if you want to create a symbol map for sum (sales) across different states of United States from the default superstore data set of Tableau. So first double click on States and then sales, or you can drag and drop latitude and longitude separately as shown below. Then the size of the circle represents the sales value means large the circle, higher the sales.

You can also change the shape by selecting any shape under the Marks card. let's assume you change the shape to square then you will see the below visualization of Symbol map.
