For predicting customer expenditure I'm using AWS Forecast, I know I need to have a dataset group. Dataset groups can have only a single primary dataset, but the spending of a customer has nothing to do with the other customer. So if merging all the data into one single primary dataset can I generate forecasts by filtering on customer ID and also these forecasts separately will not be related to each other in any way?

Yes, you can merge all data into a single primary dataset, and later using Customer ID you can generate forecasts. AWS forecast has three datasets namely, target, related, and meta and out of which the only target is necessary. The target dataset has 3 attributes, date, item_id, demand, and details on transactions that will be stored in the related dataset.
