MongoDB is a documented-oriented database, and each document is limited to 16MB, and the document cannot be more than 16MB in size, or else it will hamper the performance of MongoDB. And regarding how much data MongoDB can handle is that it can process billions of documents, each document’s size not more than 16MB.
