Automation is the invention of new technologies or software that can be used to automate specific tasks. It uses APIs and other methods in order to integrate multiple systems on a single platform. It requires you to have complete knowledge of the software. Also, it requires complex programming along with quality tests. It is extremely challenging in terms of customization.

RPA, on the other hand, does not require the invention of software for automating. It comprehends the user’s actions at the interface level. It is much faster as compared to automation. It mainly focuses on bots and development tools. It can easily be customized to meet the requirements of specific users as per the demands.
