CIDR blocks the initial sequence of bits using the binary representation of their IP addresses. These IPv4 CIDR blocks can be found using a similar syntax to the IPv4 addresses: a dotted-decimal address, number from 0-32 followed by a slash like a.b.c.d/n.
Here, it is considered to be a fixed prefix of length /56. It allows you to request IPv6 CIDR block out of the IPv6 addresses. You can create a new subnet or use an existing subnet of your VPC by associating the IPv6 CIDR block.
