A Data Science manager is the person responsible for managing a team of highly skilled data scientists and data engineers who provide useful information and actionable insights, which could then be translated to management to help them make informed decisions. Well, the roles and responsibilities change for every role and it depends, the company you are working for, the project, time constraints, capital, etc. But let me summarize some of the key responsibilities of a Data Science manager needs to be attended:

  • He/she needs to address client needs, understand their requirements, and develop a good rapport with these clients.
  • Have to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
  • Develop strategies to solve various problems strategically, backed by data science methodologies.
  • Present the conclusions to senior management officials, to help them make informed decisions and many such responsibilities.
