Let us start with Similarities between them:

Both CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) and CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) are offered by (ISC)2, one of the largest non-profit international IT Security organizations in the world. And both are in the bigger domain of Cyber Security or Information Security. And both certifications require 5 years of work experience.

Now Differences between CCSP and CISSP:

CCSP is for those experienced in the IT sector, with the majority of experience in Information Security, and are willing to work securing a Cloud. And CISSP is for those professionals who have minimum of 5 years of experience in 2 or more of total of 8 domains of CISSP CBK. And in CISSP, completing a bachelor’s degree in any relevant field will substitute a year of work experience. The work experience recommended by (ISC)2 should be paid work experience. You can check out the entire details regarding how many working hours will be considered as half-time and full-time in the official (ISC)2 website.

Coming to CCSP, you become eligible only if you have 5 years of work, in which 3 years should be in the Information Security field, and an additional year in any one or more of the 6 domains recognized by (ISC)2. Here, if you are CISSP certified, you could use it to substitute that additional year of work experience needed.

If you wish to get certified in any one of these CISSP or CCSP, you could enroll in Intellipaat’s Cyber Security Course or CISSP certification course, which offers you an industry-grade course. If you wish to know more about CCSP, then check out the following video on Cloud Security.
