Reset root account password of a CentOS 6.9 vm on azure?

The Azure VM is created from the VHD disk uploaded by you. There is an option of installing an agent while creating the VHD disk which should be checked. 

Once the agent is installed, there are serial ways to change the password. 

You can also reset your password from the Azure portal. Under the "Reset Password" tab on the left sidebar for Centos.
