Can anyone tell me what is the Azure Application Gateway?

Azure Application Gateway is a web traffic load balancer that allows us to handle the traffic to web applications. In general, the traditional load balancers operate at the transport layer and route traffic as per the source IP address and port.  Azure Application Gateway can make routing decisions depending on additional attributes of an HTTP request.
