Could someone tell me whether WordPress is PHP or HTML?

WordPress is neither PHP nor HTML, WordPress according to Wikipedia, is an open-source content management system that is free and is written in PHP and uses MySQL database or MariaDB.

And PHP is a server-side programming language and scripting language primarily for web development. Whereas, HTML is a Markup language used to build web pages, and is used primarily for front-end development.
