Please can you write a shell script that can I can run as a chron job in jenkins to check 
-ping for server connectivity
-disk free space(should be less than 80%)
-software version( e.g jdk version)

You can build the cron jobs using option build periodically in Jenkins that will help you to resolve this issue.
