Statisticians have been analyzing data for decades. Before the appearance of modern computers and machines, as we know it today, statisticians would analyze data using pencil and paper techniques of simple computing machines or calculators.  In this corporate world, almost every decision is taken based on accurate and scientific analysis of data. Data has been produced in petabytes and exabytes on a daily basis. Data is only going to increase, that too at a remarkably fast pace. So one thing is for sure that Data Science is not a balloon that will burst in some time but it is going much more advanced and faster in the days to come. So, Data Science is really important for Statisticians.
