If you read the paper “Computing Machinery and Intelligence” 1950, you will clearly see. Alan Turing is the establishing father who built the framework in 1936 in the form of Universal Turing Machines, which extended the ground for Intelligence Machinery.

Other may have written books, built some languages such as LISP that are no more in use anywhere in the industry, but to what effect? After almost 60 years, the AI is still nowhere near passing the Turing Test.

John McCarthy earned “Turing Award” for his work on AI. That should clearly tell you who the real father is. Alan Turing.
