How should I prepare myself for the Selenium WebDriver interview?

I am telling you my way which I followed to prepare the Selenium WebDriver interview. You can also follow the same. To prepare for Selenium Interview, you need to focus on the 4 major areas which are as follows:-

  1. You must know one programming language out of Java, Python, Ruby, etc.

  2. You must know all about Selenium.

  3. You must know the framework components like Maven, POM, TestNG and Report.

  4. Framework Development.

Let’s look at each area in deep:-

1.Programming:-

You must have a strong understanding of the OOPS concept, Interface, Strings, I/O operation and good understanding of the collection framework is a must. Also If you are appearing for a product based company then Data structure & Algorithm knowledge is a must.

2.Selenium:-

Same Origin Policy, Locator Techniques, Handling complex scenarios and programs, Action classes, and Javascript executor.

3. Framework components:-

You also have a good understanding of Maven, Jenkins, TestNg, Reporting tools and How to Integrate them together to form a robust framework.

4.Framework Development:-

This is a very important topic. If you have more than 2 years of experience. Good understanding of Design Patterns, Page Object Model, Integration with CI/CD, Jenkins, and implementation of Hybrid and Data-driven framework.
