Big Data represents a large volume of data (Petabyte or Exabyte) in multiple formats. The volume of data is so large and the speed in which it comes is so high that a traditional database cannot handle it. Hadoop, on the other hand, is an intuitive software framework that has the ability to store and process Big Data. To understand it in a better way, take the analogy of a typical machine. Big Data is the raw material that is fed into the system, and the system processes the raw material to provide meaningful information. Here, the processing unit is Hadoop.
