Docker is a containerisation tool whereas VMware is virtualisation technology.

The key differences between Docker and VMware are as follows:-

Talking about docker is used as a container inside which one deploys his application can ship it to any kind of infrastructure starting from physical to virtual to cloud.

This technology helps to release automation.
