CloudWatch is a monitoring tool provided by AWS for monitoring AWS cloud resources and the applications on AWS. CloudWatch is used for collecting and monitor metrics, collect and monitor log files, set alarms, and automatically respond to changes in the AWS resources. It allows us to monitor AWS resources like Amazon EC2 instances, Amazon DynamoDB tables, Amazon RDS DB instances, and custom metrics and log files that applications generate. In short, CloudWatch can be used for resource utilization, application performance, and operational health that can help to respond and keep the applications to run smoothly.
