We have a site running on an EC2 Instance in the Ohio region.  And have created an SSL certificate in the Ohio region.

After researching, it appears the SSL certificates for AWS only work in the N. Virginia region.  Is this correct?

And that we have to run Cloudfront in order to have an SSL Certificate.  We would prefer not to incur the charges of Cloudfront.

If yes, do we now have to change our region from Ohio to N.Virginia?

The reason for this is that when we look at the certificate it would only be "in Use - Yes" once we have Cloudfront and the SSL in N. Virginia.

Our goal is to have the EC2 instance and SSL in the Ohio Region, but we cannot find out how to change the in use from no to yes.

Thanks
