An insider threat in terms of cybersecurity is a threat agent’s presence inside the organization who uses his access level to the network system to steal confidential data of the organization by planting malicious software or being a vulnerable threat who because of his inattentiveness could pave way for compromising network systems, by mistakenly accepting to install malicious software from a spoofed e-mail.
