Incident response is a part of the response phase activities in cybersecurity. It is a process but not an isolated occasion. 

There are six significant phases such as preparation, identification, containment, eradication, recovery, and lessons learned. Most organizations mainly focus on containment, eradication, and recovery and completely skip lessons learned, but the last phase is also an important phase.
