Can anyone tell me how to create a new column in tableau?

Yes, you can create a new column. For example, here I am adding two dimensions for creating a new calculated field "Furniture Category&West Region" which meets two conditions. Here is the calculation:

IF [Category]='Furniture' AND [Region]='West'

THEN

[Category]+' '+[Region]

END

Put it in the view and filter off Null, you will see it works, which only includes two dimensions Category and Region when "Furniture' and "West" are the values.
